Britney Spears blasted critics, performing sisters, and conservators: ‘I quit!’

“I’d rather share a YES video from my living room than on a stage in Vegas where some people go so far they can’t even shake my hand,” the pop star wrote.

Britney Spears kept talking and talking.

In a post prompted by people criticizing the Instagram posts he frequently shares about himself dancing (rather than just clicking “unfollow”?), Spears confirmed he’s out of business – for now.

“Listen, I won’t be performing on any stage anytime soon with my dad tackling what I wear, say, do or think,” she shared in an Instagram post on Friday.

As he continued, Spears noted that performing in Las Vegas wasn’t easy — and it had seemingly uncomfortable moments — as he referred to wasted customers in the concert crowd.

I end up getting high contact from the weeds all the time,” she said. , noted he “doesn’t mind” high contact, but he would love to be able to go to a spa visit – no doubt a reference to the rules he alleged the conservatory had placed on his daily life.

The pop superstar also lashed out, saying he hasn’t been able to share new music or been “capable of doing the real thing with remixes” of his songs. “So I quit!” he added.

As Britney continued, she also said she wasn’t happy that sister Jamie Lynn Spears performed her music at an event (apparently referring to the 2017 Britney awards at the Radio medley song, with Jamie Lynn performing at the end).

” Britney continued. “My so-called support system hurts me a lot!!!! This conservatory killed my dreams…so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that’s hard to kill…yet people still try .”

Spears has been talking more and more on her Instagram since a June 2021 court appearance in which she told the judge that the conservatory arrangements, which were put in place after her public disturbance in 2008, had “traumatized” her. And he once again took the opportunity in his latest Instagram post to express his disappointment at his old baggage being lifted in the documentary about his life.

“I don’t like the way documentaries lift embarrassing moments from the past,” he said. “I’ve been through all that and it’s been a long time!!!!”

Spears’ post attracted a lot of comments from fans and celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Selma Blair, and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

A representative for Jamie Lynn Spears did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

On Sunday afternoon, Jamie Lynn shared the peace and love on her Instagram, writing, “May the peace of God be with you, and your spirits,” alongside a photo of herself in a red suit.

Jamie Lynn previously shared support for her older sister publicly in an Instagram story last month.

In her post which is about three minutes long, Jamie Lynn, 30, says she has always been “loved, adored and supported” Britney, 39.

“I’ve made a very conscious choice in my life to only participate in his life as his sister, as the boy’s aunt,” Jamie Lynn also shared, tearfully. “Maybe I didn’t support [her as] the public wanted with hashtags on public platforms, but I can assure you that I supported my sister long before there were hashtags, and I will support her long after.”
