Producer Leaks ‘Black Adam’ Costume from Dwayne Johnson

Black Adam producer Dany Garcia has revealed what costume Dwayne Johnson will be wearing in the yellow and black Black Adam as seen in the concept trailer at DC FanDome 2020.

Black Adam promises to change the order of power in the DC Universe and is determined to protect his people. Black Adam himself is an anti-hero character in DC Comics and is an enemy of Shazam. He first appeared in the comic The Marvel Family in December 1945 by writers Otto Binder and CC Beck.

Black Adam producer, Dany Garcia leaked what costume Dwayne Johnson will wear in the Black Adam film “I’ve seen him in full costume and let me tell you, it’s great!”. The costumes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the DCEU film are indeed very much awaited by his fans.

In addition to yellow and black as seen in the concept trailer at the DC FanDome 2020 which was held virtually, Garcia leaked that Black Adam, played by the big actor, will not be accompanied by “padding” or padding on his costume.

Previously, Dwayne Johnson also gave a sneak peek of another costume he wore in Black Adam, in an Instagram post he posted showing that he was wearing a tattered black robe and boots, with his face covered in shadows.

“Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a child, my superhero dream has come true. I’m honored to have joined the iconic #DCUniverse and what a joy it was to be BLACK ADAM,” Dwayne wrote in his Instagram caption, accompanying a leaked photo of his costume as Black Adam.

Dwayne Johnson has indeed confirmed that he will play the latest anti-hero character in the DC film. He will play the lead actor, and will likely be the opposite of Zachary Levi who becomes Shazam.

However, it turns out that actor Dwayne Johnson has long been called suitable to play Black Adam, ever since 2009. But in the end, the plan was only realized in 2014 and was officially announced in August 2020.

Garcia’s husband, Dave Rienzi as Dwayne Johnson’s physical trainer, recently also helped Dwayne to be ready on-screen at all times. “Maintaining and training him in managing his attacking range ensures that we don’t have to take excessive action to get a certain look or overload Dwayne’s body,” Rienzi said at the time.

In the same conversation, Garcia also discussed what it was like to film Black Adam in Atlanta, Georgia, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“We started the shooting process according to the COVID protocol we had prepared and everything went very smoothly. Many of our players have also been vaccinated,” Garcia said. “We have different zones. This adds about 30 percent not only to costs, but also to logistics, but most importantly we don’t have an outbreak.”

Hundreds of years ago, Black Adam tried to make people aware of the fallacy involving the culture of power and magic. However, the leaders in Kanhdaq instead arrested Black Adam.

They shackled his neck with chains and made him a slave. Five hundred years later, Black Adam can finally be free. He was back in action to prove his belief first. Black Adam also promised that no one would be able to stop this belief.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Marwan Kenzari, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui.
