If you are more hot than cold, you are probably sorry that we have already said goodbye to summer. But the penalties, with movies, are less, and this Friday the 24th we have a ration of premieres with which to welcome autumn in the best possible way; although before reviewing them, as usual, we are going to take a look at the Spanish box office.
As I told you a few days ago, Denis Villeneuve’s ‘ Dune ‘ has swept the national box office with the second best premiere of the year, adding 0.24 million euros in its first weekend and remaining only behind ‘ Fast & Furious 9 ‘ —which debuted with 2.8 million. This, obviously, has revitalized the panorama, with the 5 most watched titles of the weekend totaling 3.06 million – a little less than double that in the previous year.
The Warner Bros. title has taken the vast majority of the cake, leaving a marginal revenue for the four titles that follow. ‘Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings’ is left with 0.48 million euros in its third week , opening a fairly significant gap with its immediate pursuer; a ‘The Paw Patrol: The Movie’ that is left with 0.21 million in its fourth week.
The Top 5 was closed by ‘Maligno’ and ‘After: Lost souls’, which have reaped another 0.18 and 0.15 million respectively in their third weeks on the bill.
