Champions League: Real Madrid Wrath to See Eden Hazard Laughing with Chelsea Players

An image showing Eden Hazard joking with Chelsea players after Real Madrid was eliminated from the Champions League at Stamford Bridge angered club management.

The image shows Eden Hazard laughing with former teammate Kurt Zouma and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy on the pitch. Real Madrid had just been eliminated from the Champions League and at the same time buried their dreams of winning the 14th title.

A club source told ESPN that such an attitude deeply hurt the feelings of the club management. According to him, players like Hazard should be careful because the camera is on him all the time.

“Eden has enough experience not to show that kind of attitude when the cameras are focused on him,” a source told ESPN before giving the example of another former Chelsea player, international team-mate Thibaut Courtois, who wore an annoyed and sad expression.

Hazard arrived in Madrid in the summer of 2019 as a record signing after seven successful seasons at Chelsea and starred in Belgium at the 2018 World Cup. Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane sees Hazard as the foundation for his new project.

However, Eden Hazard played only 37 games in two seasons at Real Madrid and has failed to be consistent after suffering 11 injuries since his arrival.

Sign in Selling List?

Real Madrid was eliminated from the Champions League after losing 1-3 on aggregate to Chelsea in the semifinals. Reportedly after being eliminated from the Champions League, Real Madrid included Eden Hazard’s name in their selling list for the transfer market this summer.

According to Spanish media, El Chiringuito, if an offer at a suitable price arrives for Eden Hazard in the summer, Real Madrid will not hesitate to let him go.

In the same report, after Real Madrid was eliminated from the Champions League, a journalist said, “Hazard’s attitude at the end of the game is unacceptable. We are angry, we cannot understand it. He cannot stay at Real Madrid for the second time.”

STILL HAZ IT Eden Hazard ‘could move back to England after not selling Surrey home and refusing to rule out Chelsea transfer return’

EDEN HAZARD could move back to England after keeping hold of his Surrey house, according to reports.

And the winger, 30, previously refused to rule out a return to Chelsea as talk of a stunning transfer comeback hots up.

According to The Athletic, insiders suggest the Hazard family still own the pad they lived in near the Blues’ Cobham training ground.

Speaking soon after making his £88million switch from Chelsea to Real Madrid in 2019, the Belgian hinted he will return in some capacity when his work at the Bernabeu is done.

He said: “When I finish here I’ll come back.”

It is unclear whether that would be as a Chelsea player or simply to live in England after his playing career.

But either way, Hazard may have taken a step closer to his Real Madrid exit on Wednesday night.

The former Chelsea man – who bought a futuristic £10m mansion when he moved to Spain – endured a rough night back at Stamford Bridge.

He was anonymous for Los Blancos, barely having any impact on the game as his old club secured their place in the Champions League final.

And Hazard felt the full wrath of the Madrid fans when he was spotted laughing and joking with former teammates after full-time.

Hazard has managed just four goals in 40 Real Madrid appearances and was a surprise inclusion from the start at Stamford Bridge.

He could not replicate some of his best moments at the ground where he enjoyed so much success for seven years.

Now some are calling for the ‘disgrace’ to be sold immediately.

One pundit added: “There are some players who come to Real Madrid, but Real Madrid does not go into them.”

Another suggested Hazard should at least have pretended to be upset and added: “It’s sad, but this is Hazard. A player with tremendous quality, but he is not professional.”

Real Madrid eliminated from the Champions League, Eden Hazard will be on the sell list

Real Madrid was eliminated from the Champions League after losing 1-3 on aggregate to Chelsea in the semifinals. Reportedly after being eliminated from the Champions League, Real Madrid included Eden Hazard’s name in their selling list for the transfer market this summer.

The issue of Eden Hazard’s expulsion from Real Madrid was triggered by the catch of his face who was laughing widely with Chelsea player Kurt Zouma after the Champions League semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge, Thursday (6/5/2021) early morning WIB.

Meanwhile, the Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, also expressed his views on Eden Hazard who was deemed not to have contributed to the match against Chelsea.

According to the French coach, Hazard needs more playing minutes to regain fitness and gain confidence.

“Hazard needs continuity. He has to play and regain his confidence,” said Zidane of Eden Hazard.

Hazard, who spent £ 103.5 million belonging to Real Madrid, has had a poor season in the Spanish capital with an injury that has affected his playing time. He has played only 18 games in all competitions this season with a campaign riddled with injuries.

Eden Hazard failed to save Real Madrid. Instead of feeling disappointed, the Belgian player also rejoiced with the Chelsea players after the Champions League semi-final second leg on Thursday (6/5/2021).

Indeed, Eden Hazard has a long history with Chelsea. His name is known to the public after playing for the club nicknamed the Blues for seven seasons. In 2019, he decided to join Real Madrid.

Hazard is expected to be a key figure for Madrid against Chelsea. Unfortunately, he did not make a significant contribution to the pitch. As a result, he was pulled out in the 89th minute to be replaced by Mariano Diaz.

The bridge of his nose was still visible when the match ended. Hazard didn’t show any feelings of disappointment. He was seen chatting intimately with some of the Blues players while laughing.

Hazard chatted with Kurt Zouma and Edouard Mendy after the match. The latter has never felt the opportunity to play with Hazard as the player moved a year before he arrives at Stamford Bridge.

Such a scene attracts the attention of former Liverpool man Don Hutchinson. Moreover, Real Madrid and Chelsea met face to face in a very crucial semi-final second leg.

“I just witnessed a strange sight. Eden Hazard seemed to be laughing with Kurt Zouma and Edouard Mendy. This is the semi-final of the Champions League,” said Hutchinson on BBC Radio 5 Live.
