Barcelona puts confidence in its young players. Like Oscar Mingueza, who was awarded a new contract.
Barcelona have used many of the services of young players this season, including their academy graduate, La Masia. The results were not bad, the Copa Del Rey trophy was struck by Barcelona recently.
Reporting from Marca , the new Barcelona President Joan Laporta has added to his young center-back Oscar Mingueza. The 21-year-old player will actually expire his contract this summer.
Oscar Mingueza has studied football at Barcelona from Barcelona Youth, then strengthened the age group category team until last year, breaking into the main squad.
Oscar Mingueza was also given a longer contract until 2023 at Barcelona. This season, he was given more trust by coach Ronald Koeman.
The native Spanish player has packed 30 appearances in all competitions. He is said to be the successor to Gerard Pique.
“It’s like a dream, I have struggled for years to be in the first team, and after signing this contract I feel joy and pride for all my efforts,” Mingueza explained to Barcelona’s official website.
“It is a very long process, I have to suffer and live the good and bad times,” he added.
“I am very happy with the work that I have done, because of the opportunities I have provided,” he concluded
