Inter finally won the Scudetto, Conte became the difference

Inter Milan ended 11 years of waiting by winning the Italian League this season. Antonio Conte is said to be the differentiating factor.
Inter are confirmed to lock the scudetto after Atalanta only drew 1-1 against Sassuolo in Week 34 on Sunday (2/5/2021) last night. The Nerazzurri, who have collected 82 points from 34 matches, are no longer likely to be pursued by their rivals.

With this success, Inter ended the 11-year drought for the Italian League title. The last time they won the Scudetto was in the 2009/2010 season

Inter won the Scudetto in Antonio Conte’s second year at the Giuseppe Meazza. In his first season, the former Juventus coach led Inter to finish runner-up in the Italian League and to the final of the Europa League

“This is just the beginning. The journey is difficult, because it is never easy when you changed ownership three times in a decade. I challenge all of them to be the result in the short term,” said Director of Inter Piero Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia as reported by Football Italia .

“During the Suning period, luckily we found stability. I never said it, but I felt it was right last year when there was the right feeling and something special happened.”

Ausilio cited the Luciano Spalletti era in 2017-2019 as a turning point for Inter Milan. However, it was Antonio Conte who later became the differentiator and completed the mission.

“We started the journey with Spalletti, because Inter’s fortunes changed when Matias Vecino’s goal beat Lazio and we returned to the Champions League,” said Ausilio.

“Then Conte arrived and he did everything to the extreme. I think there are many sides on the way to the title, but Conte makes a difference and luckily we have him,” he said of Antonio Conte’s performance at Inter Milan .
