NBA: Grizzlies Conley Left Until the End of the Season

Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday (27/1/2018) local time ensured that point guard Mike Conley would not be able to play again for the remainder of the 2017-2018 NBA season. Conley had to get on the operating table.

The 30-year-old has not played since November 13. Conley has a problem with an injury to his left heel. At first, Conley hoped that he would not need to undergo surgery.

But after more than two months of treatment, Conley and the Grizzlies medical team decided surgery would be the best move.

Conley will miss the rest of the 2017-2018 NBA season. However, he is expected to be ready when the Grizzlies undertake a training camp ahead of the 2018-2019 season.

The Grizzlies are currently the third-worst team in the NBA Western Conference with a record of 17 wins and 31 defeats. This condition made the Grizzlies choose not to take risks with Conley’s condition.

Team Overhaul

With Conley injured until the end of the season, the Grizzlies will be releasing the NBA this season to get a good draft sequence this summer.

It is reported that Grizzlies is also planning to release the Marc Gasol center via trade. The Spanish player can choose to become a free agent after the 2018-2019 season.
