Palace vs Arsenal: Drama 2 Goals in Injury Time Wins The Gunners

Arsenal picked up a dramatic victory when they visited Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Two goals in injury time won the Gunners 3-1.

Arsenal travel to Selhurst Park, Jamis (20/5/2021) early morning WIB at the 37th week of the Premier League. Taking the game’s initiative, Arsenal took the lead in the first half through Nicolas Pepe’s goal in the 35th minute.

Crystal Palace got up and spread threats in the second half until finally leveling the score through Christian Benteke. The 1-1 score looks like it will last until the long whistle, but the match seems far from over

Arsenal who struggled to create chances in the second half again took the lead in the 91st minute through Gabriel Martinelli’s goal. The team made by Mikel Arteta confirmed the victory with Pepe’s second goal in the last minute.

Arsenal won 3-1, undermining Palace’s hopes of giving Roy Hodgson the farewell gift he deserved in the last home game.

The course of the match

Arsenal immediately urged Palace after the match started. But early attacks from the flanks were fruitless, with Calum Chambers’ cross cut off by goalkeeper while Kieran Tierney missed a teammate.

Crystal Palace gets the chance through a corner in the 22nd minute. James Tomkins headed a slow pass but was secured by Bernd Leno.

It was Christian Benteke’s turn to get a chance in the 30th minute when the Arsenal defense was caught off guard. His header from close range just shot over the goal.

The visitors continue to try to control the match. Chambers and Emile Smith Rowe’s cooperation in the 52nd minute only produced a corner, which Palace also cleared.

GOAL! Arsenal added the lead in the 95th minute! Pepe, who had the ball, pushed past two defenders and beat Guaita with a low shot into the bottom left corner of the net. The match ends in a win for Arsenal.
