Son Heung-min confirmed his commitment to Tottenham Hotspur by renewing his contract. He signed a new contract that bound him for the next four years.
Through its official website, Tottenham announced that Son had signed a new contract on Friday (23/7/2021). Son will remain in the Lilywhites uniform until 2025.
Son has been with Tottenham since August 2015 after moving from Bayer Leverkusen. The South Korean striker has recorded 107 goals and 64 assists in 280 appearances for Tottenham.
“Playing here for six years has been a great honor, the club has shown great respect and of course I am very happy here,” Son told the club’s official website.
There are no decisions. It’s easy. I’m happy to be here and I will be very happy if I can meet the fans soon,” he added.
Together with Harry Kane, Son Heung-min created a deadly duo on the front lines of Tottenham Hotspur. Throughout the 2020/2021 season, the duo of Son and Kane produced 14 Premier League goals, a record in one season.
“Everyone can see the positive impact he has had on the club, both on and off the pitch, and we are delighted that he will be taking part in our pursuit of achievements in the years to come.”
Son Heung-min made 51 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur last season. The 29-year-old striker scored 22 goals and 17 assists.
Tottenham change their minds, ready to sell Kane to Man City
Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly softened their desire for Harry Kane to leave. The 27-year-old striker was allowed to leave, including to rival clubs, Manchester City.
Kane pushed his way out of Tottenham this summer. The difficulty of winning a trophy with The Lilywhites was the cause.
Kane has been the backbone of Tottenham since 2013 and has now scored 221 goals. However, no trophy can be presented
It made him want to move. And City is reportedly ready to sign him, to replace Sergio Aguero, whose contract was not renewed and has now moved to Barcelona.
Tottenham Hotspur refused to let Harry Kane go. Boss Daniel Levy does not want his flagship striker to move to a rival club.
Last month, The Citizens offer worth 100 million pounds was reportedly rejected by Tottenham. And finally, manager Nuno Espirito Santo also confirmed Kane remains a Tottenham player.
However, Levy claimed to change his mind. On Friday (23/7) local time, Levy called Kane and his brother and agent, Charlie, where Kane could move to another club in Europe.
The Sun also said Kane would earn £400,000 per week at City. The duration of the contract is still estimated, but approximately 4-5 years.
Meanwhile, Kane’s transfer price from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester City could reach 160 million pounds or the equivalent of Rp 3.1 trillion. That figure would be the most expensive purchase in the Premier League.
AC Milan is more realistic in bringing Ziyech than Isco or Coutinho
–AC Milan is still looking for a new playmaker. Hakim Ziyech became the main and realistic target, even though Isco and Philippe Coutinho were offered.
AC Milan left by Hakan Calhanoglu to Inter Milan. So, the Rossoneri must immediately find a replacement for the playmaker position he left behind.
Milan is moving into the summer transfer market. Several names made the list such as Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea, Isco from Real Madrid, and Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona.
Reporting from The Sun, of the three choices, it seems that Hakim Ziyech is the most realistic for AC Milan. Because Milan does not need to spend money.
Milan wants to borrow Ziyech for a season and will consider buying options. It will get the green light from Chelsea.
Ziyech himself it difficult to penetrate the main squad. He had to rotate with ‘competitors’ such as Mason Mount, Timo Werner, to Kai Havertz.
Now it depends on the manager Thomas Tuchel. Does he still want to use the services of Hakim Ziyech or not?
If AC Milan wants to get Isco and Philippe Coutinho, then Milan has to spend money. Real Madrid and Barcelona didn’t want to loan him out, they just wanted to sell him.
Isco is priced at 17 million Pounds or the equivalent of Rp. 338 billion. While Coutinho, at least sold for 20 million Pounds or the equivalent of Rp. 397 billion.
Milan certainly has to be cost-effective during the pandemic. If you can borrow, why buy?
