The story of the Mourinho-Conte bickering, from the hair satire, the clown, to the senile

Jose Mourinho has agreed to train the Italian Serie A club AS Roma next season, 2021-2022, Tuesday (4/5/2021).

It also means that he will return to compete with the Inter Milan coach who just won the Italian League this season, Antonio Conte.

Previously, Mourinho and Conte had been involved in bickering or war of words when they both worked in the Premier League, the top caste of the Premier League.

The following is the story of the dispute between Mourinho and Conte, as quoted by Italian Football.

At that time, Mourinho coached Manchester United, while Conte was a tactician for Chelsea, a club that Mourinho had also coached.

The dispute between them began in October 2016 when Mourinho disliked Conte’s extravagant celebrations at the last minute of Chelsea’s Premier League win over Manchester United.

At that time, Chelsea had beaten Man United 4-0 at Stamford Bridge and Mourinho’s disappointment was seen with Conte’s attitude on the sidelines after the final whistle.

“You don’t celebrate like that at 4-0, you can do it with a score of 1-0, otherwise it will be embarrassing for us,” Mourinho said at the time, quoted by Italian Football.

In March 2017, Chelsea and Manchester United met in the FA Cup quarter-final which ended in a 1-0 win for Conte’s men.

In that match, Man United midfielder Ander Herrera was controversially sent off by the referee from the field.

“Everyone can analyze from a different perspective, but we all watch the game until the red card and after the red card,” said Mourinho.

“So, we can compare the decisions of the two yellow cards, in this case with the others who were not given,” he said.

After that, Conte also “attacked” Mourinho’s tactics when the Red Devils continued to violate Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard throughout the match.

“He started the game, but he can’t play football. Everyone can see this, so he can judge the situation,” said Conte.

At the end of the 2017 season, Conte warned his players at Chelsea, while satiating the achievements or rankings of the Blues under Mourinho.

“Two years ago, Chelsea finished in 10th place. It can’t happen again. We know the difficulties and for sure we want to avoid Mourinho’s season with Chelsea,” said Conte, who in the 2016-2017 season helped Chelsea win the Premier League.

“I can answer in many ways, but I will not lose my hair to talk about Antonio Conte,” said Mou, who indirectly quipped on Conte’s hair transplant.

“I don’t know,” Mourinho replied when asked to comment on Conte’s statement.
