Thomas Tuchel is still overhauling the Chelsea squad to welcome the 2021/2022 Premier League season. Tuchel seems still not satisfied with the Blues midfield, huh?
Chelsea won the Champions League last season. A sweet achievement for the manager Thomas Tuchel, because he was able to present the most prestigious trophy even though he had only been in office for six months.
Tuchel was already quite absorbed in the excitement. He was still not satisfied with the composition of the players
Reporting from the Mirror, Thomas Tuchel has returned to work since the middle of the Euro 2020 event yesterday. Tuchel again explored the potential of his players, writing a list of the team’s strengths and weaknesses.
Chelsea is now starting the pre-season session and undergoing several test matches. Finally, they were able to beat their neighbors, Arsenal with a score of 2-1.
Chelsea has been passive so far in the summer transfer market. Chelsea has not brought in one player, only loan players have returned home.
Thomas Tuchel also seems to imply that he still needs new players. Especially to add strength in midfield!
“There’s an empty space because we loaned Billy Gilmour,” he said.
Gilmour, a young player who graduated from Chelsea’s academy, is on loan at Norwich City during the upcoming 2021/2022 season. Now, Chelsea’s midfield only has N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, and Jorginho if you refer to last season’s squad.
But in fact, the Chelsea midfielders returned home after a loan spell. They are Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Danny Drinkwater.
“I believe, Ruben is able to play even greater and stronger on the field. He has pushed himself 100 percent, but he needs 150 percent,” said Tuchel about his players.
“Many players still have to work hard to get a place in the main squad. Now, it’s too early to judge,” he added
Chelsea is reportedly eyeing several central midfielders, such as Declan Rice from West Ham United and Franck Kessie from AC Milan. But now, it’s still just a rumor.
Eden Hazard on the Edge
Eden Hazard is about to enter his third season at Real Madrid. His fate is now on the brink. Can he shine or fail again?
Eden Hazard has attended Real Madrid’s training for the 2021/2022 Spanish League season which starts in mid-August. However, Hazard is still training separately from the main squad.
Reporting from Marca, Eden Hazard is still focused on recovering from the hamstring injury he got from Euro 2020 yesterday. Hazard still has to return to his prime physical condition and his injury must be fully recovered.
Eden Hazard will reportedly be released by Real Madrid in the transfer market this summer. No doubt it’s been the last two seasons since his arrival, Hazard has been sluggish.
Hazard was bought by Real Madrid from Chelsea for 115 million Euros or equivalent to Rp. 1.9 trillion in 2019. Hazard, who has been successful with the Blues, is believed to be Madrid’s new goal machine since Cristiano Ronaldo left.
The reality is far from hot. In his first season in the Spanish League, Hazard only made one goal and six assists from 16 matches.
In this season aka his second season, Hazard made three goals and one assist from 14 matches. Hazard catches up!
Now, Eden Hazard looks fitter and there is no obesity problem. The developmental process of healing his injury is considered quite good.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti is also believed to be able to bring out Hazard’s best potential. So now it’s just a matter of waiting for the 30-year-old’s fate, will he be able to shine or will he fail again?
If he fails to return, it is certain that Real Madrid will release him in the transfer market next summer at a low price.
